2022 – Wow, what a year! From following the mortgage rate rollercoaster to celebrating the annual Vince Rossetti Charity Golf Classic, it has been quite a year! Definitely one for the books and well worth spending some time highlighting. So here you have it, a few key highlights from our Brokerage, giving thanks to all those that have helped make 2022 a memorable one!
David’s Mortgage Rate Recap
This year mortgage rates have jumped on the same rollercoaster as Tom Brady’s career. Starting the year strong at 3.25%, but by mid October they had buyers reminiscing of better days as they peaked at 7.5%!! Finally settling down to finish out the year at 6.5%. We expect to see interest rates remain between 6-6.5% through the first half of 2023. With rates dropping to the mid 5’s by the year’s end. 5’s are still a fantastic rate and this shouldn’t deter anyone from making a move. Stay on the lookout for when interest rates reach another low point and jump on that refinance train!
2022 Highlights
Aside from Georgia’s stroke-of-midnight win over Ohio State, our ultimate highlights of 2022 are all the client success stories our dedicated agents worked tirelessly to help write. We of course could not do this without the co-operation of amazing agents outside of the Brokerage – who we LOVE doing business with!

2022 Stats
Our DeGolian Agents have helped 85 sets of buyers, 66 sellers and 50 landlords/renters (201 clients TOTAL!) buy, sell or lease their homes this past year alone!!! This amounted to just over $76 Million in transaction volume split between 15 agents and 4 teams!
July 2019 – Present Day
Since DeGolian began in July of 2019, our agents have assisted 280 sets of clients sell their homes achieving an astonishing 99.9% list to sales price ratio! That’s right – list with one of our agents and you WILL walk away with more money in your pocket. It’s really a no brainer! In these 3 and a half years we have also helped 348 buyers beat out the competition and find their dream homes! To save you from reaching for your calculator, this amounts to 628 sets of clients, generating a grand total transaction volume of a little over $252 Million!!!

Special Client Shoutout: The Grubb’s. They moved here from Ohio to be close to their family and were able to purchase a home just 5 minutes from their daughter, son in law and grandchildren.
Laura Sconyers Wheeler
Highlight: Getting my broker’s license!

Special Client Shoutout: Kathleen & Richard Gorman. They were under the stress of owning 3 homes, selling 2 of them, getting married and moving all at once. We were able to secure their purchase while in South Africa and they felt 100% trust in my abilities to make it smooth and take care of them.
Holly Copeland
Highlight: Creating Holly Copeland Home Group with Nell and Tripp.
Favorite co-op agent: Funnily enough it is a home we terminated, but the agent was great! 460 Hillsdale, Fayetteville – Ginna Masters with Southern Classic Realtors. Always pleasant, helpful and professional even when things fell through.
Special Client Shoutout: My client and cousin – Victoria and Philop Pou. We have looked for their forever home for their growing family for at least 2 years! After several heart breaking and disappointing letdowns, we are finally under contract and closing early January on their dream home!
DeSales deGolian
Favorite Co-op Agent: It’s been a great year of co-oping but a couple of agents stuck out to me as I look back. Kim Chapple with Trilith has such positive energy, a true problem solver and always a joy to work with! And I have to give a shoutout to Cynthia Cromartie with Harry Norman, on our most recent deal at Sumner Place, as she was just AWESOME!
Special Client Shoutout: This is a super special closing with Andrew and Carly Langdon. I have known Carly for years – she has grown up in PTC and she and her sweet husband moved back to PEACHTREE city and had their 3rd baby in their new house! Found a house off market!!!
Tonya Tillery
Favorite Co-op Agent: Kim McCleery Rollen with was a fabulous agent to co-op with! She made the process go seamlessly and we became fast friends!!
Special Client Shoutout: Brittiany & Ryan Kirk were referred to me via the movie industry as Ryan works for Trilith. We searched high and low and everywhere in between for their dream home. But after being the back up offer for the last 2 contracts of 6 offers I had written they were feeling fairly deflated. I was determined not to give up, and shortly after found the home I thought would be just perfect for them, checking all the boxes. After scheduling the showing my clients felt they just didn’t have it in them to continue looking and had lost all hope. They decided to pause their search indefinitely and requested I cancel the showing. The next day, they reached out and decided in fact they wanted to view the property. I had not canceled the showing as I thought they would have a change of heart! From the moment they walked in the front door I knew this was their perfect home and could see the excitement in their eyes! Brittiany & Kirk asked me to join hands with them and pray in the kitchen which of course we did! I wrote an aggressive offer on their behalf… and needless to say, they got their dream home after all! Not only were they clients, but they have become very special friends to me!!

Highlight: Helped 9 sellers and 10 buyers find their dream homes. Reaching a transaction volume exceeding $10 million!
Favorite Co-op Agents: Jessica Mottola with Lantern Real Estate Group was awesome to work with! Our buyers had questions well after the closing and she went above and beyond to get the answers very quickly! Another amazing agent that we loved to co-op with this past year was Stevanie Suttles with Berkshire Hathaway.
Special Client Shoutout: But by far our biggest highlight of 2022, was being able to help our children with their first homes! Such a sweet feeling – being able to help in more ways than one!
Annual Vince Rossetti Charity Golf Classic!
Thank you to all of our amazing sponsors, volunteers, players and all the staff at Flat Creek Country Club for helping to facilitate yet another memorable tournament benefiting Coco’s Cupboard! Together we managed to raise a TOTAL of $42,328.40!
Agents Give Back
Each year our agents are incredibly generous, gifting Christmas presents to our local children in foster care. This year we were honored to join Bloom’s Angel Tree, helping provide Christmas presents to children in their care. We love keeping the magic of Christmas alive and helping these children to forget about their situation, feel normal for a day and receive some much needed gifts over the Winter season.
